Light Up The Didsburys

It has been on the DTA agenda for many months now , but now on our behalf,  thanks to member Clare from Design Sixty 4  and associate members  Didsbury Civic Society (Steve)   the first ‘Light Up The Didsburys’ fundraiser -fun quiz night, raffle and auction will happen in a few weeks on Friday 23rd May at St Catherine’s. This is a first for the Traders as a group and we hope everyone will now come forward with their full support to ensure the success of both this event and the bigger raffle Clare and Steve are organising.

£10 tickets for the St Catherines event (includes a lamb hotpot supper)  will be available at the meeting and on sale from Cheese Hamlet, Harriet & Dee, The Parsonage and The Deli on Lapwing Lane.

Monies raised from this and a similar event later in the year in West Didsbury, will be used to light up the Didsburys, make the festive season good for the community and extra special for the children in Didsbury and West Didsbury.

An email has gone out this week asking all members for donations of prizes, some of which will be used on the night in the auction and most of which will be used for our DTA raffle.  All members will receive  tickets to sell. This raffle will be run by the Didsbury Civic Society under their small lotteries licence and tickets can be sold up to the  close of the Didsbury Festival. Details of a fantastic prize for selling the most raffle tickets will be sent out later. If prefered, members can make a cash donation to the Light Up The Didsburys Fund in lieu of a prize.
